And, more personally..
I was born in Lawrence, Kansas in 1948. While growing up my family lived in Wichita, Kansas, Monticello, Indiana, and West Chicago, Illinois, with almost every vacation spent in Colorado. When I married Don Scott, we moved to Nederland, Colorado and then decided to ride bicycles through Europe for two years. Coming back to the Chicago area we still wanted to be in Colorado. Finally we made it for good in 1978 when my family bought a restaurant, store, and cabins in Heeney on the Green Mountain Reservoir. After 7 years of people asking me what was for sale, I got my real estate license.
That was over 23 years ago, time flies when you are having fun. Several years ago my family sold the restaurant and store, so I can devote all my time to real estate. We still live in Heeney with our new kitten, Granby and our dog, Otto.
When not working, I enjoy hobbies such as quilting, reading mysteries, cross country skiing, “site” seeing in Colorado, and fantasizing about time travel. You can see pictures of some of my recent quilts here. I am continuing on the board for the Lower Blue Volunteer Fire Department. In 1994, I received the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation and in 1995 completed more education for my Broker’s license. I am always looking for ways to continue my real estate education. Most of all, I love selling real estate in Summit County. The secret to my happiness is working only with people whom I like. The Real Estate business is a challenge that I enjoy.
I can do a good job for you too.
