Summit County is centrally located so that access by air, which is the primary method of travel for most skiers, is relatively easy. Drive times, and distances to adjacent sites/airports as well as the number of high mountain passes that must be crossed are shown below:

Summit Stage
Free Public Transit

The Summit Stage is a year round, central county wide service which is free to locals and visitors alike. The system is financed by the Transit portion of the local sales tax. The Stage services Keystone, Dillon, Wildernest, Silverthorne, Frisco, Copper Mountain and Breckenridge. For current schedule information http://www.summitstage.com/

Useful Tips:

  • Buses will stop only at designated bus stops. The drivers are not allowed to stop anywhere else

  • Be at your stop early. Watches and clocks seldom agree, and an error of a minute or two may result in a missed bus.
  • Please wait for passengers on board to disembark before you begin to board the bus.
  • Passengers are to remain stationary while the bus is in motion.
  • Please be courteous of other passengers. Rudeness and/or vulgarity will not be tolerate.
  • No pets are allowed unless they are in a pet carrier with the exception of service animals. Service animals must have proper identification.
  • No alcoholic beverages.
  • No hazardous materials or flammable liquids.
  • No smoking.
  • No firearms or weapons allowed.
  • Inquiries for lost and found can be made by calling 668-0999. Items turned in from buses are kept for two weeks.
  • Ski racks are provided for your convenience. Use them at you own risk. Summit Stage is not responsible for any damage or loss of property.
  • Guests requiring wheelchair accessible transportation are encouraged to call 668-0999 twenty-four hours in advance to reserve door-to -door paratransit service.
